Counseling and Psychotherapy- Treatment is provided in individual, group, family, and martial settings where specific needs are addressed and a service plan is developed. Psychiatric Services- Psychiatric evaluations are provided by the physician. Medication education and monitoring are provided as needed. Community Support Services- Support services are available to assist clients with linkages to necessary services to facilitate treatment. Mental Health Education- The staff offers programs such as parenting classes, educational presentations and support groups. These programs are available to individuals and organizations. Housing Services- Group homes, independent living apartments, community support services, supervised and support services assist clients in gaining independence. Consultation- The clinical staff at Pathways works with teachers, employers, parents, and other professionals to help them find answers to the situations in their home, school, workplace, or organization. Diagnostic Assessment- Every potential client at Pathways Counseling Center, Inc. will participate in a Diagnostic Assessment. This service assists the clinical staff in providing the best possible care for the person at the time of their need. If it is determined that the staff at Pathways cannot meet the need of the client a referral will be completed to a qualified professional. Psychological Evaluation- The client completes a number of standardized tests and receives the results via a summary and/or report. A licensed psychologist on staff administers, scores, and returns the results to the client. Pre-Hospital Screening- The clinical staff can assess a client to see if they are in need of hospital care. Usually this is recommended if symptoms are so severe that the person is unable to function in their daily routine. This service is often an adjunct to Crisis Intervention. Crisis Intervention- At times stress in life may seem too difficult to bear. The clinical staff helps clients cope with the difficult times. After-hours help is also available. Counseling at Alternative Opportunity Center- Through this service students gain insight into their choices and alternatives to their “risky behaviors” are provided. Anger Management- Clients learn techniques to manage their anger. Group sessions are available. |
