Pathways Counseling Center, Inc. has been part of Putnam County Community in one form or another for over 30 years have been established in 1970.

It was specifically established in 1998 through the merger of Putnam County Mental Health Services and New Direction Center Outreach and Recovery Services.

The business is proud of their highly qualified staff who work as a team to help our clients recover from mental health and substance abuse problems.

The agency provides a number of mental health and substance abuse services.

Pathways provides referral and information, assessment, treatment, education, consultation, support and guidance depending on the nature of the problem and its severity. These services are available to children, adolescents and adults with individual, group or family settings.

Pathways is a contract agency of the Mental Health Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Board of Putnam County (ADAMHS) Board programs and is partially funded by United Way. Its services will not be denied to anyone because of handicap, developmental disability, race, color, creed, national origin, sex age, sexual preference or HIV/AIDS.

The professional staff members at Pathways are experienced and knowledgeable in their respective disciplines and are licensed and have credentials are required by the State of Ohio.

    Consultations Play Therapy
    Crisis Intervention Housing Services

 

Pathways continues to work collaboratively with the Alternative Opportunity Center through mental health counseling and case management services. Pathways also provides alcohol and drug abuse prevention and intervention services to the AOC. Also, our prevention services to high school and jr. high students continues to grow. These services help positively impact students striving to maintain an alcohol and drug free lifestyle.

Some highlights for Pathways Counseling Center, Inc. were: the development of the teen anger management group, establishing a substance abuse group for counseling at the new county jail, and also the expansion of our home based services, which includes the addition of a new youth case manager.
